Water moved away
Decatur Gutters and Downspouts
Gutters formed in one piece, sized to your roof and pitched to drain, so rain heads away from your house instead of toward it.
Rain Needs Somewhere to Go
A roof's job is to catch the rain. A gutter's job is to decide where that rain goes next. When gutters are too small for the roof above them, pulled loose by weight or stuffed with oak leaves, the water spills over the edge. It pools by the foundation, splashes up on porches and steps and eventually softens the wood behind the gutter. In neighborhoods with big trees, that happens more often than most people realize. Seamless gutters help because each run is formed from a single piece, with joints only at the corners and outlets. We start by measuring how much roof drains to each run, then size the gutters and downspouts to match. The pitch is set so water moves steadily toward the outlets. Hangers are placed close enough to support a gutter full of wet leaves. Downspouts are positioned and extended to send water away from walkways, porches and the foundation. Many homeowners add new gutters right after a new roof, when the drip edge is fresh and the roof line is open, but we are glad to install them on their own, too.
